Yampa River Botanic Park
Right behind a really cool park in Steamboat Springs with several soccer fields and a nice playground rests this little beauty called Yampa River Botanic Park. This hidden gem is 6 acres full of Mother Nature’s finest. We visited in the Fall and witnessed the beautiful Autumn colors changing all around us. Whether you want to enjoy a peaceful stroll along the paths or if frantically trying to chase a 2 year old is more your speed, this park is a must see if you’re in the area.
Speaking of my offspring, Oli was dead set on leaving me in the dust every chance he could get. Most of the time we were just trying to keep up with him and that means photos were an afterthought. However, I was able to grab a few good shots of the kids and some of the plants and flowers while negotiating with the savages. And as all parents of more than 2 kids would agree, we considered the trip a success when we left the park with the same number of kids we entered with. My weapon of choice was the Fujifilm X-T3. And if you’re wondering what I program I used to edit the photos, wonder no more! It was Lightroom of course.
