Fish Creek Overlook Trail
At the beginning of Fall 2021 we went on a trip with our traveling partners in crime to Steamboat Springs, Colorado. This was our first time to this town and we were really hoping to soak in some actual seasonal changes. We’re from Texas where every season is hot, warm, or hot and it just feels like an eternal summer for most of the year. Although Steamboat Springs is really famous for skiing, we went before the ski season and hit several of the trails in the area. Between our two families, we had 6 children with us including two three-year-old’s so we needed our first trail to be fun without destroying them. First up was Fish Creek Overlook Trail.
Fish Creek Falls has several trails, but the pictures below are from the Overlook Trail (about .5 mile round trip). This was a very easy hike for our kids and we had great views of the water fall at the top. And to top it all off the weather was fantastic; not too hot and not too cold. Personally, I’m a big fan of Autumn and all of the changing colors so these views checked a lot of boxes for me. And as an added plus, we finished with the same number of kids we started with. Yay parenting!
I took all of these shots on the Fujifilm XT-3 using the XF18-55mm lens and I did the editing in Lightroom. If you like what you see, you can download these bad boys in full resolution at Pexels or Pixabay.
